Ian James Perdriau was born in 1947 down the south coast of NSW, the middle of 3 children he grew up around the water, regularly skipping school to persue his passion of sailing

Over the years friendships were formed and mates acquired around the country through the love of getting wet, picking the shifts and having a few beers.

A well respected shipwright, Ian had built or restored many fine craft over the years, both small and large, from exotic fibres and resins to his favourite timbers

A loving husband to Margaret, they enjoyed nearly 40 years for marriage and boating together, raising two children Sam and Kate
