In 1990 a small group of ex-skiff sailors formed the Australian Historical Sailing Skiff Association to revive the thrill of sailing these open boats from a bygone era. 
 

In order build the new fleet of replicas, The Australian Open Skiff Trust was formed and many fine vessels have been built and continue to be maintained by the generous donations to the trust.

In 2007, Perc and fellow shipwright Col Bailey donated their time and expertise to build the replica of the 1925 champion Yendys

All proceeds from the annual 'Perc' events go to the AOST to continue the immense upkeep of the prestigous fleet
